Do you know someone that could be a great fit for Columbus?
This is the place where you can refer
Good to know before you refer
In the heartbeat ❤️ survey, we ask how likely you are to recommend Columbus as an employer. Here is how you can make that happen.
Since you are on this page you hopefully have someone in mind that could be a great fit for our team. Before we get to the fun stuff there are some things you need to know before you make a referral:
The employee’s role will be limited to the submission of the resume of the candidate. The employee making the referral will not, in any way, be involved with the shortlisting, interview or salary fixation of the candidate.
Recruitment process 🙋🏾♀️
Referred candidates will undergo the same recruitment process as any other applicants. It’s important from a diversity and fairness perspective to give all candidates the same opportunity. Have you worked with the person before? Then, it is an extra decision point as you have seen a “work-life sample”, which is a high predictor for future performance.
Referral reward 💰
Local adoptions may occur when you are eligible for the bonus and what the amount is – please check with your local HR or TA-team.

I knew somebody that would be a good fit for Columbus, although they lacked experience. I thought that by giving a personal recommendation, I could open the door for them to demonstrate those qualities that don't easily shine through on a CV. Making the referral was quick and easy - my candidate did all the hard work!

Referring candidates – this is how it works

- Start by referring candidates who fit the role posted by your Talent Acquisition team. You may also refer someone proactively to a function that we might need in the future.
- Please ensure that you are referring to professional contacts that you know. Please avoid referring candidates whom you are not familiar with (e.g. a friend’s friend)
- Before referring, you are expected to speak to the candidate and brief him/her on Columbus to secure his/her interest.

Check GDPR and sell your referral
- If referring directly to a system, check with your tips to see if it is okay to store their information.
- When referring candidates, please mention why you think the candidate will make a good colleague covering both professional and personal aspects.

First referral wins
- If more than one employee refers a candidate in an organization, then the first employee who uploads in the tool will be eligible. In some cases, there might be a cause for a split bonus.
- You may refer to any number of candidates.
- If the candidate already is in a current recruitment process without your referral, then it does not count as a referral

I spoke to Kellie about a position in Columbus, she passed my CV on to her manager. I was Interviewed and then offered the role. The scheme worked well from my side and would highly recommend it.
