Everyone's career journey looks different. Our career pathways provide clarity on the skills, experience and opportunities that can help you progress, whether you're developing your expertise, taking on more responsibility or exploring a new direction.
So how does it work...
Our four pathways
For delivery teams, there are four pathways to specialise in at Columbus:
Engagement Path – e.g. Project and engagement management, including Service Delivery Managers.
Business Path – delivery of functional solutions to meet customers' needs.
Technical Path – responsible for technical architecture and delivery of technical solutions.
Enabling Functions Path - responsible for providing specialist knowledge and skills to effectively manage people, finances, digital infrastructure & support of users, external marketing positioning, brand, legal compliance and office facilities.
Each competency pathway has five seniority levels. Within each level, there may be different role titles that align to the same level of seniority.
Less of a pathway, more of a bookcase
Our framework supports progression and promotion within a pathway or across pathways so you can learn new skills and have new experiences. However, there is no requirement to progress up should you be happy with your current level of responsibility.
